FAQs

Do you ship worldwide?

At this time, I am only offering shipping to the U.S. and Canada. I am pursuing international shipping in the future, but it is not available right now.

How long will it take for a pre-ordered item to ship?

Pre-ordered items are not in stock and have to be handmade once your order is placed. Because Crystal Falls Pottery is one person doing work part-time, and based in a community studio, a pre-ordered piece could take a minimum of 4 weeks and up to 8 weeks from its inception to the time it ships. With that timeframe in mind, please place your order! Pre-ordered items will also vary somewhat from the picture on the website. I’m just not that great at making things identical yet! :)

Do you accept wholesale orders?

At this time, my capacity for creating is very limited. Depending on the size of your order, I may be able to accommodate you. Please reach out to me at crystalfallspottery@gmail.com.

Do you accept custom orders?

Outside of pre-order items, I am not accepting custom orders.

Is your pottery food safe?

Yes, mostly! Most items (except Raku pieces) are made with high-fired clay and anything offered for kitchen/food use has food-safe glaze added for its second firing. Anything labeled as Raku is not food-safe and should not be used in that capacity.

Can I put my ceramics in the oven, microwave, and dishwasher?

Yes and no. All stoneware is microwave and dishwasher safe, but if a piece of pottery has any kind of metallic addition (gold luster, etc.), it should not be used in the microwave. Your pieces will spark and potentially destroy your microwave/catch something on fire! I also wouldn’t recommend putting your pottery directly on a stovetop or in an oven to heat up food/drinks. Instead, let the stoneware heat up with your oven/stove to avoid cracking and/or breaking. I am not responsible for any damage done to your appliances or home due to improper use of my pottery.

What happens if my item arrives broken?

I do my best to make sure your pieces arrive to you safely and in one piece but I can’t control what happens after it leaves my care. If your item does arrive broken, reach out to me immediately at crystalfallspottery@gmail.com.

Can I return an item?

My general policy is no returns due to the nature of pieces being handmade and one-of-a-kind. If, however, your item arrives to you broken, reach out to me immediately at crystalfallspottery@gmail.com.

Do you use eco-friendly mailing materials?

Yes. I try to reuse as much packaging as I can! That includes cardboard boxes, dissolvable packing peanuts, recyclable plastic packing bubbles, and other recyclable (or recycled) materials.

I missed your website restock. What can I do to make sure I get the piece I want next time?

I’m so sorry the piece you wanted sold out! I would suggest signing up for notifications on Instagram. This way, you’re notified as soon as stock on my website becomes available.
